And in the age of rapid communications, we are a rapid response to the information you need to respond to critically ill patient's needs. On-call specialists? Available hospital beds? Transportation access? We're here. And everywhere you are.
CritiCall is a 24-hour-a-day emergency referral service for physicians across the Province of Ontario.

Through innovation, we will continue to lead the development of a provincial communications framework by:
- Anticipating future healthcare needs and developing the technological resources to address those needs.
- Working with healthcare stakeholders to seamlessly integrate disparate systems.
- Maintaining a commitment to client needs in each of our software development priorities.
We will liaise with our healthcare stakeholders to provide qualitative and quantitative information to develop problem-solving solutions to healthcare challenges.
We will instruct and educate our healthcare stakeholders in relation to our Program.
We will work with our stakeholders to optimize access to healthcare resources.
OUR GOALS
Our goals for 2008/09 are to:
- Anticipating future healthcare needs and developing the technological resources to address those needs.
- Have an effective, efficient and accountable "access to care" patient referral service.
- Utilize an integrated, e-commerce environment where telecommunications, database and business intelligence is converged to meet and surpass current standards and provide excellence in client service.
- Develop and implement a suite of performance reports that summarize patient referral data, report it as it relates to the referral agreements and to inform decisions.
- Further enhance the support of the critical care units in the reporting, maintaining, improving and utilization of the CCIS.
- Garner a decision regarding an 'Capacity Assessment Tool' for the purposes of assessing available capacity of an institution for emergent and critically ill patient referral, repatriation activities, decanting in the event of a disaster, pandemic or moderate surge.
- Provide a modernized, administrative and professional work environment.
- Develop a comprehensive H-R plan to meet strategic objectives, operating plan and future requirements to ensure a stable, knowledgeable core group of CritiCall staff.
