Urgent and Emergent Support<\/h1>\n

CritiCall Ontario provides case facilitation services to hospital-based physicians in Ontario who need support or resources beyond what is available at their hospital to care for any urgent or emergent patient. CritiCall Ontario also provides assistance to hospital-based physicians in border provinces who are caring for Ontario patients.<\/p>\n

To access this support, call our Call Centre at 1-800-668-4357 (HELP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One of our Call Agents will collect basic contact information from you and additional information about your patient\u2019s care requirements. The Call Agent will then use the Provincial Hospital Resource System<\/a>, which contains an inventory of services and resources<\/a> at acute care hospitals, to locate a hospital and physician specialist to provide you with a consultation and accept your patient into care if deemed necessary.<\/p>\n

If your patient is confirmed through consultation, and in accordance with the updated Provincial Life or Limb Policy<\/a>, to be at risk of losing life or limb and requires transfer to a higher level of care within approximately four hours, CritiCall Ontario will further assist hospitals by facilitating transport coordination.<\/p>\n
