Denise has dedicated more than <strong>35 years<\/strong> of her career to the healthcare system, leaving a legacy of service, leadership, and compassion.<\/p>\n<p>Her journey began as a <strong>nurse\u2019s aide in a Long-Term Care Home<\/strong>, followed by nearly <strong>10 years as a<\/strong> <strong>paramedic in Brantford County<\/strong>, then as a <strong>communication and training officer for the London CACC ambulance dispatch<\/strong>. At <strong>Fanshawe College she created and coordinated the Emergency Telecommunication program. <\/strong>Denise then went on to serve as <strong>an Injury Prevention Specialist at London Health Sciences <\/strong>where she <strong>co-authored several research papers <\/strong>published in professional healthcare journals. She was also a <strong>Patient Relations<\/strong> liaison at a community hospital. Denise made history as the <strong>first-ever Patient Advocate at Ornge<\/strong>\u2014a role that speaks volumes about her commitment to patients and families.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Denise joined CritiCall Ontario\u2019s <strong>Client Relations team<\/strong>, and has played a vital role in supporting, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with our stakeholders, while deepening awareness of everything CritiCall does. She has been a valued contributor to many of our major initiatives, including modernization projects focused on the <strong>Critical Care Information System (CCIS), <\/strong>our <strong>Call Centre<\/strong>, the development of our data and reporting platform<strong> CORD BI<\/strong>, and the provincial <strong>Total Hospital Occupancy Board<\/strong>. She has also played a key role in quality improvements related to case inquiries and how they are processed.<\/p>\n<p>We will truly miss you, Denise\u2014your generosity, your humour, and the depth of experience you \u00a0brought to our team. You have built a rich and meaningful career and while it\u2019s hard to say goodbye, we share your excitement as you embark on this next phase.
