About CritiCall Ontario
CritiCall Ontario is a dynamic and progressive healthcare organization dedicated to supporting access to and delivery of urgent and emergent care within Ontario. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, CritiCall Ontario provides a variety of services to physicians, hospitals and other healthcare stakeholders with the goal of helping to ensure Ontario patients can access the urgent and emergent care they need as close to home as possible.
CritiCall Ontario has been supporting hospital-based physicians since 1988, when Hamilton physician Dr. Frank Baillie created a regional program for physicians in Central West Ontario. In 1996, CritiCall Ontario began delivering its unique service to all acute care hospitals in Ontario and continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of physicians and their urgent and emergent patients.
